We all strive to succeed, make money, gain an identity or definite power in the long run. We give our greatest determination and dedication to our present tasks so our future tasks become easier to attend to, easier to complete. We logically think about how to tackle people to climb up and declare our position proudly but what if all this goes to waste? what if you forget about the emotional factor required to truly complete all your mastermind plans? you cannot aim for success with a narrow-minded sense of the world.

You have to express, understand and observe.

Being able to express yourself in a way that attracts people’s attention without having to unnecessarily hurt people for your gain is real power. the crowd will be left in awe of your silent skills which are powerful enough to leave a permanent impression on them. this is what poetry means to me.

Poetry makes me feel wanted. Poetry gives me power. Poetry lets me have an insight into the general thinking process of people.

I believe that if I can continue to give poetry all my creative abilities, then I could make something out of myself, without regrets. Yes! being competitive, self-confident and loud about your ideals will fetch you the attention and the podium but everyone has heard speeches about power, self-praise and advice.

Those who let poetry express them, direct the crowd in a magical direction when given the podium. They wait for chances to express rather than feeling greedy and impatient to express.

They wait so that they can smartly mould their thoughts, convey their meaningful opinions to the audience in an overly detailed and descriptive manner and gain some momentum of emotion from the eyes and expressions of the seated audience. It’s a blessing to be able to witness someone realising that they do feel understood just because of my writing.

Even if I don’t hold power, openly, I have it within me, I will show it when I need to. when the commanders and self-obsessed leaders lose their power, what will save them? what will fill them up now that their power is gone? regrets. So, let poetry express you.
Let yourself be vulnerable, if not to people, to poetry.

There is no greater power than being understood and being able to understand that is something only poetry can fulfil is what I believe.

I would like to share a poem with you all, hope you’ll like it.

Light Bulb

A constant ray of support throughout our lives,
is what our closest people radiate. even when we blink, the light shines and
keeps us going.
but when the light bulb blinks,
our lives have paused.
where did it go wrong? why won’t they shine
for me?
in a state of worry, we fall.
the light bulb flickers because of its own
fault,
so why do we let it manipulate us into
thinking that we were the cause? not all mistakes in this world are caused by you.
learn to believe that and let your self-trust
glow.
you’ll soon find yourself shining for you, without a blink or a flicker.
